Problems

Less Setup. Real-Time Insight.

Compared to HPLC, fiber optic probes offer several advantages such as real-time data acquisition, reduced preparation requirements, and elimination of filtration costs. However, in dissolution testing, undissolved particles can reduce measurement accuracy or make measurement impossible. The J-shaped probe is designed to solve this issue.

Real-time data acquisition

With HPLC, results are sometimes not available until the following day or later.

Preparation workload

Preparation can take several hours.

Running cost

The cost of filters and columns can add up significantly.

Our Solution

What Makes This Fiber Optic Probe System Unique

Enables easy testing with accurate, real-time results.

Real-time results, hassle-free setup, and virtually no running costs.

The fiber optic probe system delivers real-time data (less than 1-second intervals), allowing immediate results and quick transitions to the next reserch. Easy calibration and minimal setup reduce workload, and the long probe life means virtually no daily testing costs.

Strong points of J-shaped probe

The fiber optic probe system has traditionally been used for API concentration measurement. With the J-shaped probe minimizing particle interference, it is now also suitable for dissolution testing. Straight probes are, of course, also supported.

Software

The software is optimized with measurement methods such as second-derivative analysis, allowing accurate detection even in cases of overlapping peaks.

J-shaped vs straight

Innovative J-shaped Probe

「Developed by XSOF, the innovative J-shaped probe solves the persistent issue of measurement failure due to particle interference. It outperforms conventional straight probes, providing superior stability and confidence not found in other systems.

Dissolution testing conducted with OTC ibuprofen tablets
It has been confirmed that the J-shaped probe can perform measurements reliably even in conditions where straight probes fail.
